Lean pizza with broccoli and tofu

Lean pizza with broccoli and tofu is a hearty meal for those who fasting or for some reason refuse to eat animal products. Believe me, pizza with vegetables prepared according to this recipe turns out to be tasty and not yet the fact that meat pies can compete with it.

Instead of meat - broccoli, instead of cream cheese - tofu, dough without milk and eggs, these are the most important key points of this recipe! Lenten pizza with broccoli and tofu, cooked at home, will turn out to be much tastier, cheaper and, most importantly - healthier, the one that will be delivered within an hour.

Ingredients for Lean Pizza with Broccoli and Tofu

For pizza dough:

  • 275 g of wheat flour;
  • 165 ml of warm water;
  • 17 g of fresh yeast;
  • 30 ml extra virgin olive oil;
  • 2 g of fine salt.

For pizza toppings:

  • 250 g of frozen broccoli;
  • 100 g of cherry tomatoes;
  • 50 g of onions;
  • 80 g of carrots;
  • 65 g of tofu cheese (hard);
  • 15 ml of olive oil;
  • salt.

A method of cooking lean pizza with broccoli and tofu

We make a vegetable filling for pizza. We cut large inflorescences of broccoli in half, leave small ones intact. Throw the cabbage into boiling salt water, cook for 5 minutes, then immediately transfer it to cold water to stop the cooking process and maintain color. Throw the cooled broccoli on a sieve.

Lubricate the pan with oil, fry finely chopped onions and grated carrots until soft, and salt to taste.

Cherry tomatoes are cut in half. You can lightly fry the cherry next to the onions and carrots, but this is not necessary.

Making pizza dough. Sift the wheat flour into a deep bowl, mix with fine salt.

Dissolve fresh yeast in warm water (30-35 degrees). We make a well in the flour, pour in the dissolved yeast.

We mix liquid and dry ingredients, pour extra virgin olive oil.

Knead the dough with your hands until it stops sticking to your fingers (5-8 minutes is enough). We cover the bowl with a clean towel, set in warmth.

When the dough increases by 2-3 times, and this usually takes 45-60 minutes at room temperature, we crush it - “blow off carbon dioxide”.

Sprinkle the working surface with wheat flour, roll out a round cake with a thickness of about 7 millimeters. We shift the cake on a dry clean baking sheet, with our fingers we form a small side.

We lay out the evenly cooled filling. First, fried carrots with onions, then add the blossoms of blanched broccoli.

Add the cherry cut in half. Put the tomatoes downward - in the oven, the juice from the cherry will flow onto the dough and replace the ketchup.

We rub tofu hard cheese on a coarse grater, sprinkle vegetables.

Pour pizza with olive oil. We turn on the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.

We put the baking sheet in a red-hot oven, bake for 15 minutes. Then immediately remove from the pan and serve the lean pizza with broccoli and tofu to the hot table.
