How to sow?

Sow carrots before winter with dry seeds (you do not need to pre-soak and germinate them), since such seeds will not germinate earlier than the set time. The seeds of carrots are small, and so that the sowing is neat, you can use a special seeder.

For the winter, carrots need to be sown according to the following scheme: prepare grooves (1-2 cm deep), pour seeds there, cover with dry, warm earth. After that, lay a layer of peat or humus (about 2 cm.), Compact the soil from above. When the first snow falls, you need to pick it up on the bed and press it with the spruce branches.

In spring, when the snow melts, the spruce branches need to be removed. And as soon as the snow completely disappears from the garden, you need to install low arcs on it and cover them with a film or non-woven material. So carrots ripen even faster.
