Flowers "Astra"
Asters are very unpretentious. Bouquets of asters are stored in water for 18 days.
Asters have dense, double, semi-double and non-double inflorescences. By their use they are divided into cut-off, casing and universal.
- Cut asters are distinguished by large beautiful inflorescences with long sturdy peduncles;
- Casing trees grow in the form of a low compact bush with a large number of simultaneously and long flowering inflorescences;
- Universal have a compact bush of medium size with fairly long peduncles.

For growing asters, well-lit places are chosen. In the fall, 2–4 kg of manure, 50–80 g of phosphate rock and 30–50 g of potash fertilizers are added per 1 m2 of soil for digging. In the spring, before planting plants (seedlings) or planting asters, 20–40 g of ammonium sulfate and 15–20 g of potassium salt should be added per 1 m2.
In various varieties of asters, the period from the appearance of seedlings to flowering ranges from 83 to 131 days. Depending on this, they are either directly sown in the ground, or seedlings are planted, which are grown similarly to vegetable plants.
It is advisable to soak all seeds before sowing for 15-18 hours in a solution of some microfertilizer: boric, manganese or molybdenum. The seed sowing depth is 0.5-0.8 cm. At a temperature of 18-26 ° C and sufficient soil moisture, seedlings appear on the 3rd-7th day.

Seedlings are planted in a hole pre-filled with water, so as to maintain a distance between plants of at least 20 -25 cm, or thinned out previously sown in the ground, after moistening at the site. Extra plants are used as seedlings.
Plant care consists in regular fine loosening of the soil, removal of weeds, watering as necessary. Before the flowering of asters, it is advisable to occult to a height of 5-7 cm.

With sufficient soil moisture, fertilizers are applied dry by loosening; in dry weather, it is better to dissolve them first with water and make them in the form of liquid top dressing.
