Thick homemade sausage yeast pizza pizza

Thick pizza made from yeast dough - lush, airy, with a crispy crust. It is not traditional, as many are accustomed to thin pizza pizza, but also very tasty. This homemade pizza with sausage is somewhat similar to Italian focaccia, but there is less butter in the dough and toppings, since the correct focaccia literally oozes with olive oil. Any raw smoked sausage is suitable for the filling, in combination with parmesan you get a savory salty crust on the air dough, and the fragrant thyme adds spicy notes. Ready pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days, heated in a pan under the lid or in the microwave.

Sausage Yeast Pizza Ingredients

For the test:

  • 10 g of fresh yeast;
  • 180 ml of water;
  • 280 g of wheat flour;
  • 20 ml of olive oil;
  • a pinch of salt.

For filling:

  • 120 g of raw smoked sausage;
  • 60 g of ketchup;
  • 20 ml of olive oil;
  • 60 g of parmesan;
  • 2 sprigs of thyme.

A method of making a thick homemade pizza from yeast dough with sausage

Pour warm water (30-35 degrees Celsius) into a bowl, add a slice of fresh yeast, stir so that the yeast completely dissolves.

Sift wheat flour of the highest grade through a sieve to saturate with air and add splendor. Pour the sifted flour into a bowl with dissolved yeast, add a pinch of fine salt.

Add quality extra virgin olive oil, mix the ingredients with a spoon first, then spread on a table sprinkled with flour, knead the dough thoroughly.

Ready dough for homemade pizza is pleasant to the touch, it does not stick to your hands. Grease a bowl with olive oil, put the dough.

Tighten the bowl with cling film, put in a place protected from drafts for about 1 hour. The temperature for the first proofing room from 18 to 22 degrees. In about an hour, the dough will grow, approximately double in volume.

Remove the cling film from the bowl, gently knead the dough.

Take a pizza mold, lay out the dough, stretch it with your hands - give the cake a round shape, form a small side.

First, grease the cake with olive oil.

Then grease with ketchup, sprinkle with leaves of fresh thyme, dried herbs can also be used in this homemade pizza recipe.

We cut the smoked sausage into thin slices, put it on the cake so that the sausage slices fill the cake densely, but in one layer.

Sprinkle sausage with grated parmesan. In the meantime, turn on the oven to heat up to a temperature of 180 degrees. While the oven heats up, the dough has time to rise a second time, the second proofing takes about 20 minutes.

We send pizza to the preheated oven for 20 minutes, you can put a bowl of water on the lower shelf, then the crust will turn out crispy.

Immediately serve a thick homemade pizza with sausage on the table, eat hot. Enjoy your meal.

This is the basic recipe for pizza dough, using it you can cook your favorite dish with a wide variety of fillings. If you didn’t need all the dough for cooking, then after the first proofing you can knead it, put it in a bag and freeze it.
