Chickpea snacks - hummus with sun-dried tomatoes and fried chickpeas - a great solution for a friendly party with a beer or home gatherings with a glass of wine. This is a budget snack, which does not take much time to prepare. You need to soak chickpeas in the evening in cold water, this is a must. Soak chickpeas from 8 to 24 hours, during which time the beans soften, so they cook pretty quickly. Cooked chickpeas for about 1.5-2 hours, does not require any attention - puffs on low heat in a saucepan and that’s it. During these hours you can do your own thing.

To prepare hummus, you will need a blender or a meat grinder, and for frying chickpeas it is better to use a preheated oven - quickly and efficiently.

Ingredients for Hummus with Dried Tomatoes and Roasted Chickpeas
- 700 g dried chickpeas;
- 150 g of sun-dried tomatoes in oil;
- 100 g of tahini;
- 1 lemon
- 2 teaspoons of sweet smoked paprika;
- olive oil, onion, garlic, bay leaf, sea salt, red pepper.

We sort the beans, put in a bowl, fill with large amounts of cold water, leave in water for 8-24 hours. It is advisable to change the water several times.

In the pan we put the whole onion, a few cloves of garlic, 4 bay leaves. Pour the soaked chickpeas, fill everything with several liters of cold water.
After boiling, cook over low heat for 1.5-2 hours, 30 minutes before cooking, salt to taste.
We drain the water from the prepared chickpea, leave a little broth - it will be needed to prepare hummus.
About half the beans, boiled onion and boiled garlic are put in a blender bowl. The remaining beans will be needed to make the fried chickpeas appetizer.
Add tahini - a thick paste of ground sesame seed, then pour a little chickpea broth into the bowl.
Dried tomatoes are cut into small pieces, add to the bowl to the chickpea. The oil in which dried tomatoes are stored is also a valuable ingredient. It is fragrant, spicy and spicy, add a couple of tablespoons of this oil, it will be tastier.
Next, squeeze 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice, pour ground sweet smoked paprika.
Grind the ingredients until smooth. If the mass is thick, add a little broth or lemon juice.
We try hummus. At this stage, you can add ground red or black pepper, a little more lemon juice or salt, in a word, adjust the taste to your receptors.
We transfer the finished hummus to a dry sterile jar, after cooling, remove it to the refrigerator.

Pour the remaining beans into a wide pan so that they lie in one layer.
Pour the chickpeas with olive oil, mix so that each bean is covered with oil.
We send the pan to the oven heated to 180 degrees Celsius. Cook for 10-15 minutes, remove, sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt and a pinch of red pepper.
